Which image tool should you use?
Image conversion, compression, and resizing solve different problems. Choose the smallest change that meets the destination requirement so you avoid unnecessary quality loss.
- Image Compressor reduces download size by re-encoding a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image.
- Image Resizer changes the exact pixel width or height without cropping.
- Image Converter changes a supported source image to PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
- Image Metadata Remover creates a newly encoded copy without common EXIF location and camera fields.
- SVG to PNG rasterizes vector artwork at a width you choose.
- Image to PDF places one or more images into a shareable multi-page document.
PNG, JPEG, WebP, and transparency
PNG is useful for transparent graphics and sharp interface artwork. JPEG is widely compatible and efficient for photographs but does not support transparency. WebP often provides smaller web-ready files. Browser support depends on the actual image codec, and animated inputs may be exported as a single decoded frame.
Every tool opens on its own focused page and explains its supported inputs, practical limits, and output. Processing happens in browser memory without a Boring Tools account or server-side file conversion.
